Spectators: 7668 (Terracing: 5700, Seating: 1800, VIP seats: 168) 3 minutes into the match, Kalle Rantala notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Riiteovaara's Vilho Oinas. Vilho Oinas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kalle Rantala in the 10th minute of play forced Riiteovaara's goalkeeper Vilho Oinas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Petteri Nybacka hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Aku Ahosmäki shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Vilho Oinas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kalle Rantala in the 20th minute of play. Vilho Oinas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kalle Rantala's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. With a little luck, Mestarisieni fc's Otso Kärnä got control of the ball when Kalervo Helkamo tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Ilmo Alanko fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Riiteovaara's protests and gave Ilmo Alanko a yellow card for diving instead. In the 31st minute Kalle Rantala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vilho Oinas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mestarisieni fc's Eelis Nikko managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ilmo Alanko in the 33 minute of the game. Kalle Rantala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vilho Oinas having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Riiteovaara's goal looked a bit too open when Kalle Rantala came free, but Vilho Oinas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kalle Rantala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Vilho Oinas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 41 played minutes Mestarisieni fc got a freekick which was hit by Kauko Multaharju. After having played for 45 minutes, Kalle Rantala managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mestarisieni fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kalle Rantala was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Mestarisieni fc were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Kalervo Helkamo made the kick off in the second half. Aku Ahosmäki walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Matias Ahmaoja fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otso Kärnä having to interfere. Mestarisieni fc's Kalle Rantala got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 66 minutes, Kalle Rantala managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mestarisieni fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kalle Rantala was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Eelis Nikko came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Mestarisieni fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eelis Nikko couldn't finish the play. Kalle Rantala in the 71stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vilho Oinas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Kalervo Helkamo came free in the 75th minute and tried to tip the ball over Otso Kärnä, but to the joy of Mestarisieni fc's supporters the ball went over. Kalle Rantala might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vilho Oinas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kalle Rantala ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kalle Rantala got free with Vilho Oinas in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 79th minute, Matias Ahmaoja hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Kalle Rantala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kalle Rantala's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Vilho Oinas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Kalle Rantala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Riiteovaara's Ilmo Alanko managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Petteri Nybacka in the 92 minute of the game. Vilho Oinas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kalle Rantala in the 97th minute. Mestarisieni fc were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Riiteovaara's much stronger midfield.
