Elmer Jaakkola scored 1-0 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Antero Porokara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jukojärviasd's Antero Porokara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Jukojärviasd from getting a goal against them. After 12 played minutes Jukojärviasd got a freekick which was hit by Vilhelm Jokinen. Jukojärviasd's Vilhelm Jokinen got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aatu Mikkonen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Rainer Manninen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aatu Mikkonen struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Rainer Manninen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jukojärviasd. Aadolf Piekkanen took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rainer Manninen. Rainer Manninen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Aadolf Piekkanen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rainer Manninen having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Aadolf Piekkanen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Alvar Rimpiläinen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Auno Aho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Halisten Haukat's Rainer Manninen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aatu Mikkonen in the 44th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Aadolf Piekkanen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jukojärviasd's supporters rose to their feet, but Aadolf Piekkanen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rainer Manninen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aatu Mikkonen made a kick off. Rainer Manninen was a little too slow when Aatu Mikkonen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 52nd minute. The score was now 1-3. Lauri Mäkelä fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antero Porokara having to interfere. Iiro Valtonen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the match, Aadolf Piekkanen dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rainer Manninen, 1-4. Rainer Manninen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jukojärviasd. When Aadolf Piekkanen came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Jukojärviasd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aadolf Piekkanen couldn't finish the play.
