In the 28th minute, Ruissalo FC's Pentti Leonoff ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Esko Niskala. Esko Niskala yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Pentti Leonoff might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Esko Niskala. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pentti Leonoff ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Ruissalo FC's Akseli Martikainen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Esko Niskala. That made the score 2-1 after 35 minutes of play. Riku Elo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pentti Leonoff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Esko Niskala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Atro Luoma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmi Timmonen in the 46th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juuso Leonoff stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pentti Leonoff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esko Niskala having to interfere. If Juuso Leonoff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the game, Juuso Uhlbäck was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Virojoki's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ruissalo FC the free kick. Juuso Uhlbäck was shown his second yellow card after 58 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 59th match minute, Virojoki was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juuso Uhlbäck to maneuver through the defense. Pentti Leonoff recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 64 minutes, Tuomo Kokkonen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Virojoki and the Ruissalo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 64th match minute, Virojoki was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tuomo Kokkonen to maneuver through the defense. If Anselmi Timmonen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ossian Aalto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Atro Luoma having to make a save. 69 minutes into the game, Ossian Aalto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Virojoki's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ruissalo FC the free kick. In the 70th minute, Ossian Aalto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ruissalo FC's Pentti Leonoff in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Tuomo Kokkonen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pentti Leonoff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Esko Niskala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pentti Leonoff in the 90th minute of the match. Ruissalo FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
