But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timo Mäkitalo couldn't finish the play. When Ilpo Väänänen fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Amöba's protests and gave Ilpo Väänänen a yellow card for diving instead. Ilpo Väänänen hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Timo Mäkitalo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rami Grönvall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maunosdf's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jyrki Raninen 21 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. In the 25th minute, Turo Askolin made a precise shot to the right of Tahvo Kokko. Maunosdf's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in FC Amöba's zone, Rami Grönvall stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kaapro Hauhtonen came out of the goal and Rami Grönvall tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rami Grönvall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaapro Hauhtonen having to interfere. Rami Grönvall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 34 minutes, Rami Grönvall made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. FC Amöba's Kaapro Hauhtonen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Timo Mäkitalo came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Maunosdf fans jumped to their feet. After 42 played minutes FC Amöba got a freekick which was hit by Jyrki Raninen. Henrikki Keskinarkaus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Kaapro Hauhtonen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jyrki Raninen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kimi Manneroos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaapro Hauhtonen having to interfere. Rami Grönvall scored 2-2 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kaapro Hauhtonen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Maunosdf's Henrikki Keskinarkaus got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 65 minutes into the match, Maunosdf's Rami Grönvall sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kaapro Hauhtonen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tahvo Kokko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pietari Tuuri in the 67th minute of the match. The supporters of FC Amöba booed when Maunosdf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timo Mäkitalo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tahvo Kokko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jyrki Raninen in the 69th minute of the match. Henrikki Keskinarkaus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute, Henrikki Keskinarkaus left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Maunosdf fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. In the 79th minute, Antti Kuhta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Timo Mäkitalo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaapro Hauhtonen having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in FC Amöba's zone, Rami Grönvall stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kaapro Hauhtonen came out of the goal and Rami Grönvall tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Timo Mäkitalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Amöba's goalkeeper Kaapro Hauhtonen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Timo Mäkitalo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maunosdf's supporters rose to their feet, but Timo Mäkitalo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kaapro Hauhtonen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Amöba's Kaapro Hauhtonen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kimi Manneroos in the 88th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rami Grönvall in the 90th minute of play forced FC Amöba's goalkeeper Kaapro Hauhtonen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Kimi Manneroos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jyrki Raninen might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tahvo Kokko. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jyrki Raninen ran back to his position shaking his head. Rami Grönvall who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 97thth minute tested the skills of Kaapro Hauhtonen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the final whistle sounded Maunosdf left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Amöba.
