Spectators: 9186 (Terracing: 6891, Seating: 2112, VIP seats: 183) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Heikki Lumijärvi started the match with the kick off. Ahvo Kiuru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rauli Paavola in the 4th minute. If Heikki Lumijärvi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 11 minutes into the match, Heikki Lumijärvi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ahvo Kiuru, 1-0. Rauli Paavolas short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Ahvo Kiuru to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Heikki Lumijärvi in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ahvo Kiuru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 18th minute, Juha Ripatti reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ahvo Kiuru. The goal made the score 3-0. After a rather tough play, Otavan Otsot's Iisakki Leonoff got a free kick in the 22nd minute. When Miro Meltoranta came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Otavan Otsot fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miro Meltoranta couldn't finish the play. In the 38th match minute, Otavan Otsot was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isko Palonen to maneuver through the defense. Ahvo Kiuru came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Heinolahti FC's Jan Elovaara. But to his dismay, Jan Elovaara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Juha Ripatti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Ahvo Kiuru made a huge save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iisakki Leonoff stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Heikki Lumijärvi in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ahvo Kiuru saved Otavan Otsot from getting behind. Ahvo Kiuru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juho Ronkainen in the 66th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the game, Heinolahti FC's Juha Ripatti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ahvo Kiuru made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. With a little luck, Heinolahti FC's Alfred Caspersson got control of the ball when Miro Meltoranta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Isko Palonen hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Jan Elovaara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iisakki Leonoff in the 83rd minute of play forced Heinolahti FC's goalkeeper Alfred Caspersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miro Meltoranta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 92 minutes into the game, Rauli Paavola cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Ahvo Kiuru was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
