The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Tetomdsf's goalkeeper Teijo Kosonen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ensio Snellman. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Henri Snellman took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Teijo Kosonen to make any attempt to save it. Ensio Snellman came free with the goalkeeper in the 9th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Teijo Kosonen could save by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ensio Snellman got free with Teijo Kosonen in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Henri Snellman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teijo Kosonen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ensio Snellman in the 37th minute. 43 minutes into the match, Otavan Otsot's goal looked a bit too open when Rikhard Laine came free, but Alvi Kokkila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Otavan Otsot's Joel Sjöberg got a free kick in the 45th minute. The supporters of Otavan Otsot booed when Tetomdsf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Keimo Jokiranta didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Henri Snellman made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Kauno Viljanen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tetomdsf's supporters rose to their feet, but Kauno Viljanen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvi Kokkila breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Teijo Kosonen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sauli Kivi in the 54th minute of play. Alvi Kokkila came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Tetomdsf's Keimo Jokiranta. But to his dismay, Keimo Jokiranta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Teijo Kosonen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ensio Snellman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 69 minutes, Keimo Jokiranta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tetomdsf and the Otavan Otsot players grew even worse after the yellow card. Keimo Jokiranta kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. A collision led to Otavan Otsot getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Henri Snellman hit a great ball. The supporters of Tetomdsf booed when Otavan Otsot was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Misbach Pattinasarani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alvi Kokkila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osmo Puutio in the 73rd minute of the match. Tetomdsf's Teijo Kosonen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henri Snellman in the 75th minute of play. Teijo Kosonen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sauli Kivi, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Henri Snellman scored 2-1 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teijo Kosonen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sauli Kivi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Teijo Kosonen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henri Snellman scored 3-1 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teijo Kosonen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. There was no doubt that Otavan Otsot were the better team. Otavan Otsot's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
