Francesco Toldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Terho Litja in the 15th minute of play. The Kultapossukerho fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Kultapossukerho's Terho Litja looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Tarvo Huttunen made in the 22nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Nuutti Vauhkonen immediately put the ball in play. Francesco Toldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uolevi Hagman in the 25th minute of play. Co Vid fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elbert Hand having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Porvoon Futura's Seppo Jokela got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 34th minute of the match Uolevi Hagman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Francesco Toldo skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Porvoon Futura getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Jari Litmanen hit a great ball. When Kultapossukerho's Terho Litja in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Co Vid made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Sixto Ugutz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francesco Toldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Porvoon Futura's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Uolevi Hagman was slow to take the kick. During this time Kultapossukerho's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Uolevi Hagman almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Porvoon Futura's Francesco Toldo did a great save. Francesco Toldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sixto Ugutz, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 58th minute, Henrik Höijer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sixto Ugutz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Francesco Toldo made a huge save. Porvoon Futura were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after Kultapossukerho's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Henrik Höijer took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Henrik Höijer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Elbert Hand quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Sixto Ugutz struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Francesco Toldo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kultapossukerho. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Kultapossukerho had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
