Jonni Nitti came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Toukola's Kuisma Lundell. But to his dismay, Kuisma Lundell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Timo Teräs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urpo Rämö, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 13th match minute, Huuhmarisvaara FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Unto Myötänen to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Huuhmarisvaara FC booed when Toukola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kauno Laaksonen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute, Urpo Rämö ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Timo Teräs was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Timo Turpeinen struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Jonni Nitti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Toukola. A collision led to Toukola getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Kauno Laaksonen hit a great ball. Timo Teräs didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Huuhmarisvaara FC's Urpo Rämö shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 46th minute, Ruud van Nistelrooij hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Urpo Rämö was the one to do the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Toukola's goalkeeper Timo Teräs had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Saku Paaso. In the 61st match minute, Huuhmarisvaara FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vili Piekkanen to maneuver through the defense. Kauno Laaksonen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonni Nitti. Huuhmarisvaara FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Huuhmarisvaara FC's Unto Myötänen got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Vili Piekkanen kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timo Turpeinen in the 66th minute of play forced Huuhmarisvaara FC's goalkeeper Jonni Nitti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Toukola's Timo Teräs got control of the ball when Vili Piekkanen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Urpo Rämö fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timo Teräs having to interfere. Toukola's defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when Saku Paaso scored to the left of an out of position Timo Teräs, making the score, 1-4. A collision led to Toukola getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Tero Jämsänen hit a great ball. 96 minutes into the game, Urpo Rämö cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Timo Teräs was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the final whistle sounded Huuhmarisvaara FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Toukola.
