After taking down the ball on Huuhmarisvaara FC's corner Juho Vihermäki fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mikko Puikkonen quite easily take care of the ball. Saku Paaso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Mikko Puikkonen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 15 played minutes Vastarinta got a freekick which was hit by Sampsa Takala. In the 16th minute, Huuhmarisvaara FC's Urpo Rämö ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mikko Puikkonen. Mikko Puikkonen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. With a little luck, Vastarinta's Mikko Puikkonen got control of the ball when Urpo Rämö tried to sneak it across the goal line. 22 minutes into the game, Saku Paaso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Mikko Puikkonen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Saku Paaso in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mikko Puikkonen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mikko Puikkonen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urpo Rämö in the 28th minute of play. Mikko Puikkonen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Urpo Rämö in the 30th minute. Vastarinta's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Saku Paaso scored to the left of an out of position Mikko Puikkonen, making the score, 4-0. Huuhmarisvaara FC's Saku Paaso got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mikko Puikkonen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Urpo Rämö in the 43rd minute. Urpo Rämö could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Mikko Puikkonen made a huge save. Saku Paaso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Urpo Rämö had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

Vastarinta's Mikko Puikkonen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urpo Rämö in the 53rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Huuhmarisvaara FC's Miika Hana got a free kick in the 54th minute. Urpo Rämö received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Mikko Puikkonen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saku Paaso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute, Urpo Rämö hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rafael Hanninen kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urpo Rämö in the 67th minute of play forced Vastarinta's goalkeeper Mikko Puikkonen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Vastarinta's goal looked a bit too open when Urpo Rämö came free, but Mikko Puikkonen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Sami Vuorio fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vastarinta's protests and gave Sami Vuorio a yellow card for diving instead. Mikko Puikkonen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saku Paaso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Huuhmarisvaara FC fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when Huuhmarisvaara FC's Urpo Rämö looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal.
