Spectators: 7975 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1815, VIP seats: 160) Aappo Tuominen started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute Markus Pakaslahti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mika Arkivuo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Savon Palloseura booed when Paihola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermanni Koivuniemi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute, Ciriaco Ferrando made a precise shot to the right of Mika Arkivuo. Paihola's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Mika Arkivuo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cris Romero, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 12th minute Markus Pakaslahti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mika Arkivuo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cris Romero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paihola's Ossi Hakala got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cris Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Mika Arkivuo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mika Arkivuo came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Savon Palloseura's Markus Pakaslahti. But to his dismay, Markus Pakaslahti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 29th minute, Valdemar Kallio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mika Arkivuo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Mika Arkivuo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdemar Kallio in the 32nd minute of play. After 34 minutes of play, Savon Palloseura's Cris Romero made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mika Arkivuo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 40th minute, Valdemar Kallio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Savon Palloseura fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. A collision led to Paihola getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Manu Palenius hit a great ball. Mika Arkivuo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciriaco Ferrando, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. If Cris Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ciriaco Ferrando stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Paihola's Mika Arkivuo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Paihola from getting a goal against them. Savon Palloseura made a substitution. Mitt Elin replaced Cris Romero. In the 62nd match minute, Savon Palloseura was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sahnoyan Şahbey to maneuver through the defense. Dinko Bozhev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 72nd minute by Ciriaco Ferrando got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After having played for 73 minutes, Ciriaco Ferrando managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Savon Palloseura's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciriaco Ferrando was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 80 minutes into the game, Ciriaco Ferrando lined in a short shot 0-8 behind a frustrated Mika Arkivuo. After 84 played minutes Paihola got a freekick which was hit by Pekko Lumijärvi. Mika Arkivuo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 86th minute, which inside left pole to 0-9. With his leg Mika Arkivuo managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Savon Palloseura's Ciriaco Ferrando fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paihola's goalkeeper Mika Arkivuo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Savon Palloseura's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ciriaco Ferrando in the 95th minute. Savon Palloseura's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
