After a rather tough play, Paihola's Eeli Sorsa got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 12th minute Saku Paaso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mika Arkivuo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Vili Piekkanen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mika Arkivuo. Paihola's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vili Piekkanen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 18 played minutes Paihola got a freekick which was hit by Eeli Sorsa. Jonni Nitti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ossi Hakala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Saku Paaso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Mika Arkivuo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paihola's Mika Arkivuo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Paihola from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Aappo Tuominen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paihola's supporters rose to their feet, but Aappo Tuominen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonni Nitti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Juho Vihermäki blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mika Arkivuo having to make a save. In the 98th minute Ossi Hakala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonni Nitti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Huuhmarisvaara FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
