The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aulis Takala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Panu Vihko in the 16th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Ruskeakoski IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Atso Ruohiainen came free, but Sol Gardner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sol Gardner came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Fc Pehmeät Jänikset's Iustin Bungeanu. But to his dismay, Iustin Bungeanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Fc Pehmeät Jänikset's Aulis Takala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahto Kiviharju in the 24th minute of play. A collision led to Fc Pehmeät Jänikset getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Tunç Hacıfettahoğlu hit a great ball. In the 30th minute, Ahto Kiviharju hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aulis Takala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Panu Vihko in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by 胡洲烨 in the 33rd minute of play forced Ruskeakoski IFK's goalkeeper Sol Gardner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sol Gardner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aílton Carvalho in the 37th minute. Aulis Takala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manne Kattilakoski in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute of the match Ruskeakoski IFK got a corner. Fc Pehmeät Jänikset's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Niklas Metsäranta ran over to the corner to take the kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aílton Carvalho to strike the kick off in the second half. Sol Gardner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aílton Carvalho in the 53rd minute of the match. Aulis Takala was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Ahto Kiviharju capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ahto Kiviharju really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Ruskeakoski IFK's Samuel Pluta was substituted for Ilari Hentunen. Fc Pehmeät Jänikset's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Iustin Bungeanu in the 65th minute. A nice corner shot did that Iustin Bungeanu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sol Gardner quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After taking down the ball on Fc Pehmeät Jänikset's corner Iustin Bungeanu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sol Gardner quite easily take care of the ball. In the 69th match minute, Ruskeakoski IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yaseen Shabakhoh to maneuver through the defense. Aílton Carvalho might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sol Gardner. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aílton Carvalho ran back to his position shaking his head. When Tunç Hacıfettahoğlu fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Aílton Carvalho ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Ruskeakoski IFK booed when Fc Pehmeät Jänikset was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iustin Bungeanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
