With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rasheed Belal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adham Wael fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rasheed Belal having to interfere. Rasheed Belal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saleh Atef in the 32nd minute of play. Hafez Anwar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rasheed Belal having to interfere. After having played for 46 minutes, Hafez Anwar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. OPM FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hafez Anwar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Garfis players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. OPM FC were winning 0-1.

Rasheed Belal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hafez Anwar in the 51st minute of play. Rasheed Belal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hafez Anwar in the 55th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Garfis defense, Kareem Shaker kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rasheed Belal. The Garfis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rasheed Belal should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Garfis booed when OPM FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fares Tamer didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Hafez Anwar managed to get in a good position for a shot. OPM FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hafez Anwar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rasheed Belal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Khaled Burhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rasheed Belal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hafez Anwar, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. The OPM FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing OPM FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
