In the 7thth minute of the game Alaa Mahmoud who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chelsea's Moamen Adel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in el ktan plaza's zone, Mohanad Thabit stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Deyab Raouf came out of the goal and Mohanad Thabit tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice moves Shehab Yasser could shoot a difficult shot in the 12th minute, which Deyab Raouf however easily saved by the left post. After 12 minutes, Mortada Rabie mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the el ktan plaza and the Chelsea players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Chelsea booed when el ktan plaza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mortada Rabie didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rdth minute of the game Alaa Mahmoud who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chelsea's Moamen Adel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Moamen Adel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mubarak Kareem, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. el ktan plaza's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alaa Taher in the 36th minute. Emad Emad was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In a very dangerous position, a player in Chelsea fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! Alaa Taher shot the penalty kick right outside the post. If Mohanad Thabit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Deyab Raouf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aino Tawfeek in the 51st minute of play. Mubarak Kareem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Moamen Adel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 64 played minutes el ktan plaza got a freekick which was hit by Haitham El-Domani. The supporters of Chelsea booed when el ktan plaza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haitham El-Domani didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Chelsea were victorious despite being under pressure from el ktan plaza for much of the match.
