Taher Metwaly made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Mazhar Ismail sped through Qattah's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Taher Metwaly. 17 minutes into the match, Mazhar Ismail notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Qattah's Taher Metwaly. Taher Metwaly was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Mazhar Ismail came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Bolton Wanderers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mazhar Ismail couldn't finish the play. But to his dismay, Mazhar Ismail quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. In the 30th minute, Mazhar Ismail got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Bolton Wanderers's Farouk Gameel in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Qattah's goalie prevented a goal. In the 34th minute, Mazhar Ismail got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Farouk Gameel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taher Metwaly having to interfere. If Mazhar Ismail had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kamal Shehab's late challenge caught a Bolton Wanderers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kamal Shehab helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Bolton Wanderers booed when Qattah was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kamal Shehab didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Farouk Gameel came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Bolton Wanderers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Farouk Gameel couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Mazhar Ismail made the kick off in the second half. Mazhar Ismail sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Bolton Wanderers getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Sameeh Sameeh hit a great ball. Qattah's Taher Metwaly tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 93 minutes of play, Qattah's Aaser Maged made it 1-10 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kordy Akram was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bolton Wanderers's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
