Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Salah Nagy to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Kharifah's goalkeeper Ghanem Talaat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fareed Hosny. Fareed Hosny recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ghanem Talaat was a little too slow when Salah Nagy got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 59th minute. The score was now 0-7. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Kharifah's goalkeeper Ghanem Talaat, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Taimour Thabit fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kocaelispor's protests and gave Taimour Thabit a yellow card for diving instead. Taimour Thabit kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Kocaelispor's goal looked a bit too open when Maher Mortada came free, but Mounir El-Shater reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Fareed Hosny notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Kharifah's Ghanem Talaat. Ghanem Talaat was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A hard shot by Ramzy Radwan from long distance, 89 minutes into the match, got Ghanem Talaat's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Salah Nagy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ghanem Talaat read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Ghanem Talaat made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fareed Hosny in the 96th minute.
