The audience was convinced that Farouk Gameel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hossam Yousry was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. 16 minutes into the match, Gemsa's goalkeeper Hossam Yousry had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mazhar Ismail. Abdel Wahab Fadel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Hossam Yousry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Mazhar Ismail got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Osama Walid hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the match, Farouk Gameel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hossam Yousry. Gemsa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Farouk Gameel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 29 minutes, Mortada Ismail mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gemsa and the Bolton Wanderers players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mortada Ismail hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Samy Hakeem during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bolton Wanderers! The crowd rose to their feet as Mazhar Ismail kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hossam Yousry. That made the score 2-0 in the 36 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Bolton Wanderers's Abdel Wahab Fadel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hossam Yousry. That made the score 3-0 after 40 minutes of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mazhar Ismail was the one to do the kick off. Farouk Gameel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 53rd minute Mazhar Ismail shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hossam Yousry saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Osama Walid managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bolton Wanderers's supporters rose to their feet, but Osama Walid was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hossam Yousry breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ibrahim Emam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute, Abdel Wahab Fadel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mazhar Ismail sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ibrahim Emam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hossam Yousry having to interfere. After 67 minutes, Mazhar Ismail made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Gemsa's Hossam Yousry tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mazhar Ismail in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hossam Yousry prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sameeh Sameeh hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Shams Alaa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Khalil Besheer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Hossam Yousry took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mazhar Ismail, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mortada Ismail was shown his second yellow card after 77 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Gemsa getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Mortada Ismail hit a great ball. In the 80th minute, Mazhar Ismail ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hossam Yousry was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Mazhar Ismail might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hossam Yousry. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mazhar Ismail ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 83rd match minute, Bolton Wanderers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Farouk Gameel to maneuver through the defense. 85 minutes into the match, Mazhar Ismail notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Gemsa's Hossam Yousry. Hossam Yousry was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Mazhar Ismail sped through Gemsa's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hossam Yousry. Mazhar Ismail received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Hossam Yousry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
