With an all-out effort, Siut's Rasheed Ali threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hafez Ramzy, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ahmed Thabit didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hakeem Belal went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 20th minute, Riad Monzer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raslan Atef could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Rasheed Ali made a huge save. When Riad Monzer fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shaqalqil's protests and gave Riad Monzer a yellow card for diving instead. After 28 played minutes Shaqalqil got a freekick which was hit by Riad Monzer. Hafez Ramzy who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Rasheed Ali when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 31 played minutes Siut got a freekick which was hit by Raslan Atef. Hakeem Belal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

54 minutes into the game, Siut's Deyaa Taher nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rasheed Ali made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hafez Ramzy in the 57th minute of play forced Shaqalqil's goalkeeper Rasheed Ali to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Siut booed when Shaqalqil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gameel Samy didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute, Hakeem Belal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Shaqalqil fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. When Hakeem Belal came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Shaqalqil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hakeem Belal couldn't finish the play. Shaqalqil's supporters rose to their feet, but Hakeem Belal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmed Thabit breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hafez Ramzy in the 77th minute of play forced Shaqalqil's goalkeeper Rasheed Ali to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Besheer Hosny made in the 84th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Shaqalqil's Riad Monzer. Riad Monzer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmed Thabit having to interfere. Riad Monzer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Siut's zone, Nasir Akram stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmed Thabit came out of the goal and Nasir Akram tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hakeem Belal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Ahmed Thabit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 93 minutes, Hakeem Belal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shaqalqil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hakeem Belal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Shaqalqil were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Siut to leave the ground with a draw.
