Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waheed Mazhar in the 17th minute of play forced Shatturah's goalkeeper Basyouny Samir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Shaqalqil's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Waheed Mazhar in the 18th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Shatturah's goalie and right to Waheed Mazhar. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Shatturah's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After 24 minutes of play, Shatturah's Rasheed Hisham made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rasheed Ali was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hisham Abu Trika's late challenge caught a Shatturah's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hisham Abu Trika helped the player get up and apologised. The referee gave Shatturah a penalty, 28 minutes into the game. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Waheed Mazhar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rasheed Ali showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rasheed Hisham, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. A throw-in in the 83rd minute of the game was made by Kamal Metwaly with Ayoub Hany as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After having played for 85 minutes, Waheed Mazhar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shaqalqil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Waheed Mazhar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kamal Metwaly made in the 88th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Ayoub Hany immediately put the ball in play. There was no doubt that Shatturah were the better team. Shatturah's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
