One of Shaqalqil:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Fayyoum:s goal. Rasheed Ali showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdel Hameed Qasem, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 12th minute of the match Salah el din Wael sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rasheed Ali skillfully saved the ball. With an all-out effort, Shaqalqil's Hashem Hakeem threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Waheed Mazhar, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Shehta Amgad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Rasheed Ali tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Shaqalqil getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Tarek Maher hit a great ball. In the 22nd match minute, Shaqalqil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nasir Akram to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Fayyoum's Adham Taimour got a free kick in the 31st minute. 37 minutes into the match, Abdel Hameed Qasem notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Shaqalqil's Rasheed Ali. Rasheed Ali was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rasheed Ali took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdel Hameed Qasem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute of the match Seif Mahdy shot from a long distance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Rasheed Ali made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abdel Hameed Qasem in the 51st minute. In the 53rd minute, Seif Mahdy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hashem Hakeem made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waheed Mazhar in the 55th minute of play. Waheed Mazhar might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hashem Hakeem. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 71stth minute of the game Waheed Mazhar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fayyoum's Hashem Hakeem was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hashem Hakeem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hakeem Belal in the 72nd minute of the match. When Shaqalqil's Waheed Mazhar in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fayyoum's goalie prevented a goal. Hashem Hakeem stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Waheed Mazhar's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Hashem Hakeem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waheed Mazhar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 91 minutes into the match, Shaqalqil's goal looked a bit too open when Shehta Amgad came free, but Rasheed Ali reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hakeem Belal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Waheed Mazhar might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hashem Hakeem. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Waheed Mazhar ran back to his position shaking his head. When the final whistle went the supporters of Fayyoum were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Shaqalqil side.
