But to his dismay, Carlos Augusto dos Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Real Madrid C.F.'s Loramendi Arias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baher Mortada in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Real Madrid C.F.'s Carlos Augusto dos Santos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yousry Fareed made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Çağan Balaban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Çağan Balaban took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yousry Fareed. Yousry Fareed dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Aino Abbas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Yousry Fareed tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yousry Fareed showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ameer Kamal in the 31st minute of the match. Hany Raouf hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Çağan Balaban in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yousry Fareed saved Barhm from getting behind. Aino Abbas made in the 35th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Barhm's Hossam Fahmy. Baher Mortada recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Çağan Balaban succeeded in the game's 38th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. Aino Abbas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yousry Fareed having to interfere. After having played for 43 minutes, Carlos Augusto dos Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Madrid C.F.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Augusto dos Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Carlos Augusto dos Santos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yousry Fareed. Barhm's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Augusto dos Santos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. After the first half Real Madrid C.F. were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 51st play minute Çağan Balaban came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Yousry Fareed. 0-6. In the 56th minute Çağan Balaban shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yousry Fareed saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Real Madrid C.F.'s Çağan Balaban slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Yousry Fareed. That made the score 0-8 after 87 minutes of play.
