But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fares Shaker couldn't finish the play. 20 minutes into the match, Sayyalah's goal looked a bit too open when Baher Mortada came free, but Kareem Nizar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zaky Shady sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaky Shady in the 27th minute of play forced Barhm's goalkeeper Yousry Fareed to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute Zaky Shady shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yousry Fareed saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute Zaky Shady shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yousry Fareed saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sayyalah's Fares Shaker pulled a muscle in his back after 35 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 35 minutes, Hakeem Taher mouthed his way into the referee's book. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baher Mortada to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Sayyalah's Zaky Shady sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yousry Fareed narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 65 minutes into the match, Barhm's goalkeeper Yousry Fareed had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zaky Shady. If Maher Emad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zaky Shady in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yousry Fareed saved Barhm from getting behind. Maher Emad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yousry Fareed having to interfere. Kareem Nizar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baher Mortada, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Sayyalah's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Barhm had won, even though Sayyalah had held more of the ball.
