The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Shams Reda during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Atef Ramez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Zamaleks.c getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Gamal Abu Al Dahab hit a great ball. Bahnai's Lateef Mohanad got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Atef Ramez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Refaat Yasser having to interfere. Atef Ramez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Refaat Yasser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Atef Ramez came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Bahnai fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Atef Ramez couldn't finish the play. Lateef Mohanad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bahnai's Lateef Mohanad got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 31 minutes into the match, Bahnai's goal looked a bit too open when Fareed Basyouny came free, but Mazen Gamal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atef Ramez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Refaat Yasser read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Atef Ramezs short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Refaat Yasser to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 43rd minute Ismail Mohammed shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mazen Gamal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute Fareed Basyouny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mazen Gamal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Atef Ramez to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Atef Ramez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Refaat Yasser saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zamaleks.c's Refaat Yasser played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atef Ramez in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Ismail Mohammed hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Refaat Yasser took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atef Ramez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Sobhy Abu Trika fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zamaleks.c's protests and gave Sobhy Abu Trika a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Zamaleks.c's Sobhy Abu Trika got a free kick in the 63rd minute. 65 minutes into the game, Ramy Shawky was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zamaleks.c's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bahnai the free kick. Ramy Shawky kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After 66 played minutes, Bahnai's Gamal Tamer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Refaat Yasser came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bahnai reached it. Lateef Mohanad took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Refaat Yasser. Refaat Yasser dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. If Ismail Mohammed had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fareed Basyouny received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Mazen Gamal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes into the game, Ismail Mohammed recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mazen Gamal. Ismail Mohammed showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atef Ramez in the 91st minute of play forced Zamaleks.c's goalkeeper Refaat Yasser to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atef Ramez struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Refaat Yasser didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bahnai. Bahnai were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
