The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mostafa Amgad got a throw-in 5 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Talaat Emam. 11 minutes into the match, Idfa's goal looked a bit too open when Fareed Basyouny came free, but Badr Hafez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Zamaleks.c booed when Idfa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mubarak Moataz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Idfa's goal looked a bit too open when Sobhy Abu Trika came free, but Badr Hafez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mostafa Amgad made in the 23rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Mohammed Nader immediately put the ball in play. Badr Hafez made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Ismail Mohammed sent off a good shot on target. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Badr Hafez successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Mubarak Moataz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ismail Mohammed's late challenge caught a Idfa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ismail Mohammed helped the player get up and apologised. Ismail Mohammed hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ismail Mohammed got free with Badr Hafez in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 39 minutes of play, Idfa's Mohammed Nader made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Refaat Yasser was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mostafa Amgad made in the 46th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Mohammed Nader immediately put the ball in play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mohammed Nader stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, Idfa's Mohammed Nader made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Refaat Yasser was left in no man's land by his defense there! Badr Hafez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fareed Basyouny, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zamaleks.c's Refaat Yasser proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Zamaleks.c from getting a goal against them. 67 minutes into the game, Mubarak Moataz lined in a short shot 1-3 behind a frustrated Refaat Yasser. After 81 played minutes Idfa got a freekick which was hit by Talaat Emam. After having played for 96 minutes, Ismail Mohammed managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zamaleks.c's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ismail Mohammed was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Idfa's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
