Tiago Gusmão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shawky Mourad, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Veni Vidi Vici's goalkeeper Ayoub Kamel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tadeu Hoffmann. In the 32nd minute, 傅森竞 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Veni Vidi Vici getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Hussien Taha hit a great ball. Tiago Gusmão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Shawky Mourad's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Veni Vidi Vici's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Kalfhage came free, but Ayoub Kamel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Leo Kalfhage took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Ayoub Kamel to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Negm's Hashem Kamouna got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 44th minute of the match, Hashem Kamouna tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ayoub Kamel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Shawky Mourad struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Tiago Gusmão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Veni Vidi Vici. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Walid Gomaa to strike the kick off in the second half. Tiago Gusmão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hashem El-Domani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th minute of the game, Seif Magdy landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 54 minutes, Sameh Saeed mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Negm and the Veni Vidi Vici players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Negm's Sameh Saeed got a free kick in the 55th minute. Ayoub Kamel came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Negm's Mahgoub Fahmy. But to his dismay, Mahgoub Fahmy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 63 minutes into the match, Walid Gomaa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tiago Gusmão, 2-2. In the 66th minute of the match Hashem El-Domani sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tiago Gusmão skillfully saved the ball. When 傅森竞 fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Negm's protests and gave 傅森竞 a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Leo Kalfhage managed to get in a good position for a shot. Negm's supporters rose to their feet, but Leo Kalfhage was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ayoub Kamel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Veni Vidi Vici's Ayoub Kamel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mahgoub Fahmy in the 92nd minute of play.
