The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vinski JK's Oodo Laaneloog played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaarel Vaagen in the 3rd minute of play. Edgar Vanatoa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eimar Uuesoo in the 10th minute of play. When Kaarel Vaagen came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Mehikoorma fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kaarel Vaagen couldn't finish the play. Rudolf Jõgis came free in the 17th minute and tried to tip the ball over Oodo Laaneloog, but to the joy of Vinski JK's supporters the ball went over. In the 18th match minute, Vinski JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jann Raidma to maneuver through the defense. Oodo Laaneloog showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudolf Jõgis, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Rudolf Jõgis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oodo Laaneloog read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. It was beautiful to see Mehikoorma's Rudolf Jõgis in action when he in the 40th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance!
