Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Olari Peet started the match with the kick off. Kalju Rätsep was extremely unlucky when he, in the 9th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Aigar Karm hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Hannes Virkus might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jass Rihma. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hannes Virkus ran back to his position shaking his head. 13 minutes into the match, FC Puyyas's goal looked a bit too open when Olari Peet came free, but Mark Haav reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silver Türk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mark Haav read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. When Olari Peet came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Pikaristi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olari Peet couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Hannes Virkus managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Puyyas's supporters rose to their feet, but Hannes Virkus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jass Rihma breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hannes Virkus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Jass Rihma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 29th minute by Hannes Virkus got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. FC Puyyas's Mark Haav played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silver Türk in the 36th minute of play. Kalju Rätsep fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jass Rihma having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Kalju Rätsep's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jass Rihma was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kalju Rätsep stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. FC Puyyas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Haarald Tagel in the 55th minute. Haarald Tagel made a great header on FC Puyyas's corner, it was just that Pikaristi's Jass Rihma managed to reach the ball for a save. When Hannes Virkus came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the FC Puyyas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hannes Virkus couldn't finish the play. Mark Haav was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 71st minute Kalju Rätsep shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jass Rihma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hannes Virkus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Jass Rihma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the game, Bert Vips was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pikaristi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Puyyas the free kick. Bert Vips hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kalju Härma in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jass Rihma prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Pikaristi supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pikaristi would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
