Salajoe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kalju Rätsep was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Ernst Lehto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kalju Rätsep's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. When Juss Koba came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Salajoe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juss Koba couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Salajoe lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
