The supporters of Sirtsi booed when Salajoe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rando Mure didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ernst Lehto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rein Õng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Kaimo Juurikas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Taimo Köök was extremely unlucky when he, in the 28th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juss Koba in the 31st minute of play forced Sirtsi's goalkeeper Tom Kivi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kaimo Juurikas made a kick off. Ernst Lehto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rein Õng in the 90th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Salajoe defense, Rein Õng kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ernst Lehto. The Salajoe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ernst Lehto should have stopped the shot. Ernst Lehto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kaimo Juurikas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 97 minute of play. Although Salajoe had been in control for most of the match, Sirtsi still came away with the win.
