A collision led to Metsapere getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Priidu Videvik hit a great ball. If Jaanus Randmaa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute, Liis Aavik made a precise shot to the right of Sven Hurm. Metsapere's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Soomevere's goalkeeper Artur Eelmäe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ivo Vaarandi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Eelmäe having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Liis Aavik in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sven Hurm saved Metsapere from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan Ojavee got free with Artur Eelmäe in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 40th minute, Riho Kivisild hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sven Hurm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liis Aavik in the 41st minute of play. After 47 played minutes Soomevere got a freekick which was hit by Albert Haav. The Metsapere players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Soomevere were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jaanus Randmaa was the one to do the kick off. Sven Hurm was a little too slow when Jaanus Randmaa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 0-2. After a rather tough play, Metsapere's Riho Kivisild got a free kick in the 58th minute. Sven Hurm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaanus Randmaa, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute, Jaanus Randmaa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 69th minute, Liis Aavik got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jan Ojavee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Soomevere fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Jaanus Randmaa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Soomevere's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
