After a rather tough play, Metsapere's Raivo Võrk got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 7th minute, Juhan Edasi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aare Inno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivo Vaarandi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Luís Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Metsapere's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Markus Jüriöö's late challenge caught a Metsapere's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Markus Jüriöö helped the player get up and apologised. Markus Jüriöö kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Luís Moreno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Sven Hurm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Viljar Heinla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Saunametsa's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Taavi Kärson scored to the left of an out of position Aare Inno, making the score, 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luís Moreno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Luís Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 53 played minutes Luís Moreno rounded Metsapere's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Saunametsa's Peedu Roosileht shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 59th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Sven Hurm but with some difficulty. After 60 played minutes Metsapere got a freekick which was hit by Ats Parve. Arvi Lippus's late challenge caught a Metsapere's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arvi Lippus helped the player get up and apologised. Arvi Lippus hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Aare Inno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Riho Kivisild in the 75th minute of play. Luís Moreno struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Sven Hurm didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saunametsa. After a rather tough play, Metsapere's Hannes Käps got a free kick in the 82nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Ojavee in the 84th minute of play forced Saunametsa's goalkeeper Aare Inno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 86 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Saunametsa! The referee gave Metsapere a penalty, 90 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ando Aavola, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Saunametsa's Aare Inno. 2-2. Sven Hurm acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 95th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Markus Jüriöö. Aare Inno came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Metsapere's Jan Ojavee. But to his dismay, Jan Ojavee quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Metsapere's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
