Evert Taimre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maarek Oder, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Munalaskme's goal looked a bit too open when Ahti Sõelsepp came free, but Evert Taimre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rait Roosileht charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rait Roosileht the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th minute, Ahti Sõelsepp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Evert Taimre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jakob Vesi in the 47th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eerik Kukk to make the kick off. Ahti Sõelsepp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Evert Taimre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jakob Vesi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahti Sõelsepp in the 61st minute of play forced Munalaskme's goalkeeper Evert Taimre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evert Taimre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahti Sõelsepp in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Olev Lani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahti Sõelsepp in the 65th minute of play forced Munalaskme's goalkeeper Evert Taimre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Munalaskme booed when Fc Santos Tartu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olev Lani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kristo Räni helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th match minute, Fc Santos Tartu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristo Räni to maneuver through the defense. Evert Taimre stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ahti Sõelsepp's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Olev Lani could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Evert Taimre made a huge save. Maarek Oder could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Evert Taimre made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Munalaskme's Sulev Niinep got a free kick in the 96th minute. Fc Santos Tartu's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
