The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Fc Santos Tartu's Ahti Sõelsepp in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Annikoru United's goalie prevented a goal. After 6 played minutes Fc Santos Tartu got a freekick which was hit by Kuldar Püss. In the 9th minute, Maarek Oder ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ennu Niilus was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Ahti Sõelsepp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ennu Niilus having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Ahti Sõelsepp's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ennu Niilus was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. In the 27th minute of the match, Ahti Sõelsepp tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ennu Niilus saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 28 minutes into the game, Joonatan Hellenurm was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Annikoru United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fc Santos Tartu the free kick. Fc Santos Tartu's Maarek Oder got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maarek Oder got free with Ennu Niilus in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joonatan Hellenurm got his second yellow card in the match during the 35th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Fc Santos Tartu booed when FC Annikoru United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joonatan Hellenurm didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ennu Niilus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahti Sõelsepp in the 38th minute of play. In the 41st match minute, FC Annikoru United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enar Viilma to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Ahti Sõelsepp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fc Santos Tartu's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahti Sõelsepp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ennu Niilus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ahti Sõelsepp to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Jörgen Lehto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ahti Sõelsepp in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ennu Niilus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aapo Virkus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Evert Virumaa made a huge save. 60 minutes into the match, Ahti Sõelsepp had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ennu Niilus. FC Annikoru United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ahti Sõelsepp was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Maarek Oder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ennu Niilus having to interfere. In the 69th minute Kuldar Püss shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ennu Niilus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Heino Lume kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Evert Virumaa made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Aapo Virkus sent off a good shot on target. If Maarek Oder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81stth minute of the game Maarek Oder who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Annikoru United's Ennu Niilus was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 82 minutes into the game, Heino Lume was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Annikoru United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fc Santos Tartu the free kick. In the 82nd match minute, FC Annikoru United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heino Lume to maneuver through the defense. Ennu Niilus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahti Sõelsepp, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maarek Oder in the 95th minute of play forced FC Annikoru United's goalkeeper Ennu Niilus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aapo Virkus was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 98th minute. FC Annikoru United's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance.
