When Jakob Tihumets came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the SK Kusal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jakob Tihumets couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as SK Kusal's Valdek Nurmela slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Holger Leier. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. Janusz Murdza might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rudolf Villemsaar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Janusz Murdza ran back to his position shaking his head. Argo Jaakson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudolf Villemsaar having to interfere. Kurista's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bengt-Rune Martinsson in the 14th minute. Bengt-Rune Martinsson made a great header on Kurista's corner, it was just that SK Kusal's Rudolf Villemsaar managed to reach the ball for a save. Holger Leier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kalvi Vool in the 18th minute of play. After 19 minutes, Henri Ots mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SK Kusal and the Kurista players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to SK Kusal getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Henri Ots hit a great ball. Argo Jaakson struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Rudolf Villemsaar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kurista. After 24 minutes of play, Kurista's Neeme Ustav made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rudolf Villemsaar was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in SK Kusal's zone, Neeme Ustav stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rudolf Villemsaar came out of the goal and Neeme Ustav tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Argo Jaakson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudolf Villemsaar having to interfere. If Argo Jaakson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Holger Leier came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by SK Kusal's Henri Ots. But to his dismay, Henri Ots quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valdek Nurmela was the one to do the kick off. Kurista's Holger Leier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kalvi Vool in the 54th minute of play. The supporters of Kurista booed when SK Kusal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jakob Tihumets didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ivar Hunt fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SK Kusal's protests and gave Ivar Hunt a yellow card for diving instead. In the 74th minute, Janusz Murdza reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rudolf Villemsaar. The goal made the score 2-2. Henri Ots was shown his second yellow card after 78 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to SK Kusal getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Henri Ots hit a great ball. Neeme Ustav received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Rudolf Villemsaar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Kurista's goal looked a bit too open when Ivar Hunt came free, but Holger Leier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Bengt-Rune Martinsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kurista's supporters rose to their feet, but Bengt-Rune Martinsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rudolf Villemsaar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
