To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 11 minutes into the match, Ott Õmblus notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of EESTI RAUDTEE CLUB's Sulev Kosk. Sulev Kosk was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Roland Indus took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sulev Kosk. Sulev Kosk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After some careless play in the EESTI RAUDTEE CLUB defense, Ott Õmblus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sulev Kosk. The EESTI RAUDTEE CLUB fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sulev Kosk should have stopped the shot. 24 minutes into the match, River FC's goalkeeper Hando Pahasoo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vahur Ansip. If Priidik Kupits had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roland Indus's late challenge caught a EESTI RAUDTEE CLUB's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roland Indus helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28th match minute, River FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roland Indus to maneuver through the defense. Agur Kask was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 38 minutes into the match. The referee gave EESTI RAUDTEE CLUB a penalty, 41 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ahto Murelik, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of River FC's Hando Pahasoo. 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Priidik Kupits made a kick off. Riivo Roosmaa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Hando Pahasoo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 53rd minute, Priidik Kupits got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aare Leinatamm hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in EESTI RAUDTEE CLUB's zone, Peedu Napasepp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sulev Kosk came out of the goal and Peedu Napasepp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Priidik Kupits might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sulev Kosk. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Priidik Kupits ran back to his position shaking his head. Sulev Kosk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roland Indus went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Hando Pahasoo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heino Keskküla in the 74th minute of the match. Mustafa Necati Humbaracıbaşı sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Enno Aruväli during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of River FC booed when EESTI RAUDTEE CLUB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enno Aruväli didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute Vahur Ansip shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hando Pahasoo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The EESTI RAUDTEE CLUB fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. River FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
