Väino Vanaliin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 8 minutes into the match, FC Galaxy's Eiko Lessel broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a rather tough play, FC Galaxy's Toivo Ristik got a free kick in the 13th minute. Aksel Lõoke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Toomas Pregel managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Galaxy's supporters rose to their feet, but Toomas Pregel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Väino Vanaliin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Toomas Pregel sped through Kihli's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Väino Vanaliin. Toomas Pregel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Väino Vanaliin made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Aksel Lõoke sent off a good shot on target. Eerik Sulg charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eerik Sulg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st match minute, Kihli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eerik Sulg to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Toomas Pregel made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Madis Nahkur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Toomas Pregel in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Väino Vanaliin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leopold Vint received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Väino Vanaliin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 60 minutes into the game, FC Galaxy's Toomas Pregel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Väino Vanaliin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Väino Vanaliin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopold Vint in the 66th minute of play. Kihli's Väino Vanaliin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aksel Lõoke in the 70th minute of play. Toomas Pregel might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Väino Vanaliin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Toomas Pregel ran back to his position shaking his head. 74 minutes into the match, Leopold Vint had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Väino Vanaliin. Kihli's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leopold Vint was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Leopold Vint's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Väino Vanaliin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by Kihli's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eiko Lessel was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Galaxy's players had a chance to rest. Väino Vanaliin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aksel Lõoke in the 88th minute of the match. Aksel Lõoke's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Väino Vanaliin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. When Silver Haavistu fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kihli's protests and gave Silver Haavistu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 93rd minute, one of Kihli:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kihli. Märt Eesik shot the penalty kick right outside the post. FC Galaxy's Toomas Pregel got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There was no doubt that FC Galaxy were the better team. FC Galaxy's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
