But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marko Hõbe couldn't finish the play. In the 19th minute, Edgar Maarjamaa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jüri Hark was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 22nd match minute, FS Lae was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urmet Kroonpea to maneuver through the defense. Agur Rähn charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agur Rähn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 37th minute Vaino Kevad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jüri Hark saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 46 minutes Oyakyula FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Herbert Muretu who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on FS Lae's corner Herbert Muretu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jüri Hark quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Maarjamaa in the 47th minute of play forced Oyakyula FC's goalkeeper Jüri Hark to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mario Lõoke was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vaino Kevad got free with Jüri Hark in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 86 minutes into the match, Oyakyula FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Maarjamaa came free, but Jüri Hark reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
