Evald Noormets was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mairo Ess showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Janar Tüür, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. With his leg Evald Noormets managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when Fiorentina B's Tomasz Trac fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 37th match minute, Fiorentina B was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaljo Laud to maneuver through the defense. Mairo Ess made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hando Imelik in the 38th minute of play. Hando Imelik hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Kuldar Pett was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 41st minute. Fiorentina B's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomasz Trac in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evald Noormets saved mcw from getting behind. Evald Noormets made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Tomasz Trac sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, mcw's Armin Kann got a free kick in the 47th minute. mcw's Evald Noormets proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 49th minute of the match, managed to save mcw from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Janar Tüür stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Erki Golomb managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fiorentina B's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erki Golomb was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Hando Imelik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virgo Veisson lost his temper 58 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 59 played minutes Fiorentina B got a freekick which was hit by Virgo Veisson. When Kuldar Pett came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Fiorentina B fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kuldar Pett couldn't finish the play. Mairo Ess took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eero Taigur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
