Tauno Emane stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Otto Lehemets's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Vallo Uuesoo hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Mairo Varendi made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Argo Arak sent off a good shot on target. Otto Lehemets received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Tauno Emane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, FC Pyakste's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldinho Ronaldinho came free, but Tauno Emane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tauno Emane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Otto Lehemets, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. FC Kotikud's Otto Lehemets got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ainar Raadel got free with Mairo Varendi in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mairo Varendi made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Argo Arak sent off a good shot on target. Agu Randveer hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute, Mati Roovik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gert Raha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, FC Kotikud's Mairo Varendi got control of the ball when Argo Arak tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of FC Pyakste booed when FC Kotikud was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oskar Naudi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Juhan Onkel managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Kotikud's supporters rose to their feet, but Juhan Onkel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tauno Emane breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maarek Nemvalts was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Argo Arak cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Mairo Varendi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 57 minutes into the match, FC Pyakste's goalkeeper Tauno Emane had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Otto Lehemets. If Otto Lehemets had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Agu Randveer came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the FC Kotikud fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agu Randveer couldn't finish the play. Mairo Varendi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Argo Arak, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. With a little luck, FC Pyakste's Tauno Emane got control of the ball when Otto Lehemets tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 66th minute, FC Kotikud's Juhan Onkel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. If Argo Arak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute Priidu Leo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mairo Varendi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Otto Lehemets's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tauno Emane was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. If Maarek Nemvalts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, FC Kotikud's goal looked a bit too open when Argo Arak came free, but Mairo Varendi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Argo Arak took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mairo Varendi. Mairo Varendi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. FC Kotikud's Mairo Varendi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ainar Raadel in the 95th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Pyakste had won after a very even match.
