Aadu Alp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Põhjala in the 20th minute of play. Tavo Kallas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Kangrusaare JK's Harald Vollmer got control of the ball when Tavo Kallas tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Hertha booed when Kangrusaare JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kalju Niidu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Walter Bohlin got free in front of the goal in the 29th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Harald Vollmer was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 30th minute, Tavo Kallas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hertha fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 36 played minutes Kangrusaare JK got a freekick which was hit by Märten Loos. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Tavo Kallas sped through Kangrusaare JK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Harald Vollmer. 42 minutes into the match, Kangrusaare JK's goal looked a bit too open when Walter Bohlin came free, but Harald Vollmer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harald Vollmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walter Bohlin in the 44th minute of the match. Nikita Gušev's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Harald Vollmer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Walter Bohlin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kevin Põhjala's late challenge caught a Hertha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kevin Põhjala helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Kangrusaare JK's Kevin Põhjala got a free kick in the 60th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Walter Bohlin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hertha's supporters rose to their feet, but Walter Bohlin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Harald Vollmer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 63 minutes into the match, Tavo Kallas notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Kangrusaare JK's Harald Vollmer. Harald Vollmer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 69 minutes into the match, Kangrusaare JK's goal looked a bit too open when Walter Bohlin came free, but Harald Vollmer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Walter Bohlin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 82 minutes into the game, Märten Loos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. One of Kangrusaare JK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hertha:s goal. Märten Loos hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kevin Põhjala got free with Aadu Alp in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Walter Bohlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Hertha fully deserved thier win.
