An unexpectedly hard shot by Taaniel Arulepp in the 17th minute of play forced FC Calku's goalkeeper Mikk Lehtmäe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Valmar Sale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Valaste booed when FC Calku was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henri Veiderma didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute Taaniel Arulepp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikk Lehtmäe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on FC Calku's corner Kuido Talur fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ilmar Arujärv quite easily take care of the ball. Valaste's Ilmar Arujärv played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tom Veiler in the 39th minute of play. When Meelis Valing came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the FC Calku fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Meelis Valing couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, FC Calku's Mikk Lehtmäe got control of the ball when Valmar Sale tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tom Veiler was the one to do the kick off. Valmar Sale scored 1-1 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mikk Lehtmäe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
