Seating: 1697, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mati Karuse started the match with the kick off. Kalev Veisson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvald Onnu, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Jan Heinaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Arni Paabo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alo Alusalu hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. When Benno Liivamägi fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Laekannu's protests and gave Benno Liivamägi a yellow card for diving instead. Laekannu's Kalev Veisson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mati Karuse in the 18th minute of play. Arni Paabo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alo Alusalu in the 23rd minute. Laekannu's Elmo Märjamaa got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 26 minutes of play, Laekannu's Elmo Märjamaa made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arni Paabo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edgar Lemsalu kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Aivar Toomes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kalev Veisson. Laekannu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Elmo Märjamaa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elmo Märjamaa might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arni Paabo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elmo Märjamaa ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Ateniidi's Arni Paabo got control of the ball when Alo Alusalu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kalev Veisson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvald Onnu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elmo Märjamaa made a kick off. Benno Laada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Kalev Veisson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 58 minutes into the game, Edgar Lemsalu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Laekannu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ateniidi the free kick. In the 59th match minute, Laekannu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Lemsalu to maneuver through the defense. Kalev Veisson made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Aivar Toomes sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Laekannu's Kalev Veisson got control of the ball when Osvald Onnu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 68th minute Elmo Märjamaa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arni Paabo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan Heinaru kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ateniidi's goalkeeper Arni Paabo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Laekannu's Tambet Halman got a free kick in the 89th minute. 93 minutes into the match, Laekannu's goal looked a bit too open when Mati Karuse came free, but Kalev Veisson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arni Paabo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alo Alusalu in the 94th minute of play. Arni Paabo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elmo Märjamaa in the 97th minute of the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
