The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kalju Kaplinski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Henri Oksmaa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind JK Sillamäe Kalev's goalkeeper Henri Oksmaa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Urmas Koba took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rasmus Kallaste. Mesikapp's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Vahur Raudsaar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henri Oksmaa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Rähn, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Samuel Rähn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henri Oksmaa having to interfere. The supporters of Mesikapp booed when JK Sillamäe Kalev was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Siim Kalda didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in JK Sillamäe Kalev's zone, Kalju Kaplinski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henri Oksmaa came out of the goal and Kalju Kaplinski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Samuel Rähn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henri Oksmaa having to interfere. In the 40th match minute, JK Sillamäe Kalev was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivo Õnnis to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, JK Sillamäe Kalev's Henri Oksmaa got control of the ball when Olav Kilk tried to sneak it across the goal line. 45 minutes had been played when some careless play by JK Sillamäe Kalev's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Olav Kilk was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 49th minute. Mesikapp's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vahur Raudsaar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Samuel Rähn came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Mesikapp fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuel Rähn couldn't finish the play. Henri Oksmaa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Rähn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Samuel Rähn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henri Oksmaa was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. In the 60th minute, Ain Kaalep hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Samuel Rähn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Siim Kalda got free with Rasmus Kallaste in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Henri Oksmaa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kalju Kaplinski in the 85th minute of play. Siim Kalda kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Kalju Kaplinski notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of JK Sillamäe Kalev's Henri Oksmaa. Henri Oksmaa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
