To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 33rd minute, Mihkel Seen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kunnar Reiman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Juhan Annast. Kivilyppe's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 35th minute, Taimo Hallast got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Karmo Ehatamm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karmo Ehatamm couldn't finish the play. When Asko Konsa fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mae FC's protests and gave Asko Konsa a yellow card for diving instead. Kivilyppe's Asso Vagula got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ilmar Allik was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mihkel Seen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 47 minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
