Aapo Käbin took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ivari Sõnajalg. Ivari Sõnajalg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Kalju Klaasen made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Kalvi Otsatalu sent off a good shot on target. In the 22nd minute Ivo Suslik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kalju Klaasen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arno Veelmaa kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Olev Kodu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sõmeru SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Olev Kodu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivari Sõnajalg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Taniel Ranna charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Taniel Ranna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to JK Kopli Manufaktuur getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Taniel Ranna hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, Aapo Käbin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ivari Sõnajalg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Kaldur in the 44th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivo Suslik was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivo Suslik in the 52nd minute of play forced Sõmeru SK's goalkeeper Kalju Klaasen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 52 minutes into the game, Kerdo Noora was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sõmeru SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave JK Kopli Manufaktuur the free kick. The supporters of JK Kopli Manufaktuur booed when Sõmeru SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kerdo Noora didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kalju Klaasen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arno Veelmaa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aapo Käbin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Ivari Sõnajalg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to JK Kopli Manufaktuur getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Jörgen Pajur hit a great ball. Kalju Klaasen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Taniel Ranna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, JK Kopli Manufaktuur's Ivari Sõnajalg got control of the ball when Olev Kodu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anton Kaldur during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in JK Kopli Manufaktuur's zone, Aapo Käbin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivari Sõnajalg came out of the goal and Aapo Käbin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Olev Kodu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivari Sõnajalg having to interfere. Sõmeru SK played a much better game than JK Kopli Manufaktuur and deserved their victory. The JK Kopli Manufaktuur players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
