The audience thought a goal was coming when Simo Eidast got free with Vambola Lillepuu in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 12th match minute, FC Laboratoires was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lino Idacio to maneuver through the defense. Simo Eidast received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Vambola Lillepuu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilfredo Chale kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. FC Laboratoires's Alberto Urrechua played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Endel Lipping in the 21st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Endel Lipping's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alberto Urrechua was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Kalev Ääremaa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vambola Lillepuu having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Ropka Staarid's zone, Lino Idacio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vambola Lillepuu came out of the goal and Lino Idacio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kalev Ääremaa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vambola Lillepuu having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Jarmo Rist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vambola Lillepuu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kalev Ääremaa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 38 minutes, Kalev Ääremaa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Laboratoires's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kalev Ääremaa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 43 minutes, Kalev Ääremaa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Laboratoires's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kalev Ääremaa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kalev Ääremaa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. FC Laboratoires's Kalev Ääremaa got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alberto Urrechua made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jarmo Rist in the 66th minute. 70 minutes into the match, FC Laboratoires's Genco İlkut sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vambola Lillepuu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jarmo Rist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Alberto Urrechua made a huge save. Kalev Ääremaa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th minute, Rait Taaler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kalev Ääremaa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vambola Lillepuu having to interfere. Simo Eidast received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Vambola Lillepuu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kalev Ääremaa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vambola Lillepuu having to interfere. In the 92nd minute Kalev Ääremaa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vambola Lillepuu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarmo Rist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Urrechua having to interfere. FC Laboratoires's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
