Spectators: 7465 (Terracing: 5600, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 149) FC Viiratsi's Gustav Pentjärv started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Paluoja's zone, Gustav Pentjärv stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laur Aluste came out of the goal and Gustav Pentjärv tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paluoja's Laur Aluste proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Paluoja from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jaan Loomus during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 11 played minutes Paluoja got a freekick which was hit by Jaan Loomus. A collision led to Paluoja getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Elmo Veeru hit a great ball. In the 25th minute, Elmo Veeru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Laur Aluste took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustav Pentjärv, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute, Gustav Pentjärv reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Laur Aluste. The goal made the score 2-0. Paluoja's Mark Traat got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Laur Aluste showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lembitu Ruusamäe in the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Raigo Varm made the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes, Hendrik Ojarand mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Viiratsi and the Paluoja players grew even worse after the yellow card. 59 minutes into the match, Paluoja's goal looked a bit too open when Gustav Pentjärv came free, but Laur Aluste reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paluoja's Laur Aluste played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustav Pentjärv in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute Asso Vanakool shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laur Aluste saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to FC Viiratsi getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Viljar Külaase hit a great ball. If Mark Traat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute, Paluoja's Jaan Loomus ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Edvard Ämarik. Edvard Ämarik yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Laur Aluste made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Asso Vanakool in the 77th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Paluoja's Elmo Veeru got a free kick in the 78th minute. Paluoja's Laur Aluste played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Asso Vanakool in the 84th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 90th minute of the game. One of Paluoja:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Viiratsi:s goal. In the 93rd minute there was a penalty for FC Viiratsi. Asko Hark stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Laur Aluste. 3-2. If Gustav Pentjärv had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paluoja's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
