Spectators: 7496 (Terracing: 5623, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 149) Rene Vellend started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 11th minute of the match, Uuno Edesi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Laur Laaniste saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Hardo Karju came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by SK Varesmyae's Mihkel Runnel. But to his dismay, Mihkel Runnel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Vellend in the 19th minute of play forced FC Maarja's goalkeeper Hardo Karju to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, SK Varesmyae's Maido Noorhani sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hardo Karju narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mihkel Runnel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SK Varesmyae's Laur Laaniste played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uuno Edesi in the 25th minute of play. Priidu Normak scored 1-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Laur Laaniste, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hardo Karju made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Vellend in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Mihkel Runnel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihkel Runnel in the 38th minute of play forced FC Maarja's goalkeeper Hardo Karju to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Tarmo Pärt fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SK Varesmyae's protests and gave Tarmo Pärt a yellow card for diving instead. After 39 played minutes SK Varesmyae got a freekick which was hit by Tarmo Pärt. Mihkel Runnel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hardo Karju having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Uuno Edesi was the one to do the kick off. Priidu Normak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Laur Laaniste tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hardo Karju made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Mihkel Runnel sent off a good shot on target. Laur Laaniste showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uuno Edesi in the 57th minute of the match. Hardo Karju made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Tarmo Pärt sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of SK Varesmyae booed when FC Maarja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rauno Liiv didn't get a good kick on the ball. Härmo Kartau's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hardo Karju read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. In the 65th match minute, FC Maarja was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guido Kasemetsa to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in FC Maarja's zone, Härmo Kartau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hardo Karju came out of the goal and Härmo Kartau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 68th minute, Maido Noorhani made a precise shot to the right of Hardo Karju. FC Maarja's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. If Mihkel Runnel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Villem Karai during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FC Maarja getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Villem Karai hit a great ball. Uuno Edesi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, SK Varesmyae's Hardo Karju threw himself towards the right post 81 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Henri Taigur, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tarmo Pärt received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hardo Karju came out and tried to block the shot, but Tarmo Pärt slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 87th minute. Henri Taigur charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Henri Taigur the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 93rd minute, Henri Taigur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SK Varesmyae's Laur Laaniste played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uuno Edesi in the 95th minute of play. The FC Maarja supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SK Varesmyae's performance. The match ended with a win for SK Varesmyae.
