Arto Haud tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 10th play minutes Olev Aasa shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Sulev Mahlamaa and just under the crossbar into goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ragnar Noorsaar during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 16 played minutes Pagari got a freekick which was hit by Ragnar Noorsaar. In the 21st minute Udo Niinemets shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arto Haud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laur Eesik hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Arto Haud showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evald Vägi in the 26th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the game, Olev Aasa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sulev Mahlamaa. Olev Aasa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 36th match minute, Karukägistajate Akadeemia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ants Urbalu to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 38 minutes, Evald Vägi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pagari's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evald Vägi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Olev Aasa to make the kick off. Sulev Mahlamaa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norman Viru in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd match minute, Pagari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Volli Jõeäär to maneuver through the defense. Sulev Mahlamaa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norman Viru in the 60th minute of play. Evald Vägi struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Arto Haud didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pagari. When Avo Velling fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Karukägistajate Akadeemia's protests and gave Avo Velling a yellow card for diving instead. After 65 played minutes Karukägistajate Akadeemia got a freekick which was hit by Avo Velling. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by Karukägistajate Akadeemia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ando Vägi was slow to take the kick. During this time Pagari's players had a chance to rest. Ando Vägi made a great header on Pagari's corner, it was just that Karukägistajate Akadeemia's Arto Haud managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 72nd minute, Pagari's Udo Niinemets dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. After taking down the ball on Karukägistajate Akadeemia's corner Ingmar Näksi fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sulev Mahlamaa quite easily take care of the ball. Laur Eesik's late challenge caught a Karukägistajate Akadeemia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Laur Eesik helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th minute, Laur Eesik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute, Evald Vägi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Udo Niinemets in the 97th minute of play forced Karukägistajate Akadeemia's goalkeeper Arto Haud to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pagari were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Karukägistajate Akadeemia to leave the ground with a draw.
