When Mihkel Raudsoo fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ritsiko's protests and gave Mihkel Raudsoo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th match minute, Ritsiko was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihkel Raudsoo to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Ritsiko's zone, Jaan Leinatamm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kalvi Kansi came out of the goal and Jaan Leinatamm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Janar Niilo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaan Leinatamm in the 39thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kalvi Kansi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Janar Niilo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kalvi Kansi having to interfere. Ritsiko's Kalvi Kansi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Ritsiko from getting a goal against them. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 51stth minute of the game Jaan Leinatamm who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ritsiko's Kalvi Kansi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kaimo Hõbe during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kalvi Kansi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaan Leinatamm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 70 played minutes Ritsiko got a freekick which was hit by Kaimo Hõbe. 74 minutes into the match, Ritsiko's goal looked a bit too open when Jaan Leinatamm came free, but Kalvi Kansi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ritsiko booed when Tomasmyae was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oliver Tarand didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Jaan Leinatamm put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Kalvi Kansi.
